Prepare yourself to feel medicals fake. Doctors enter medicine with the hope of making patients feel better. However, when delivering bad news, that's not what happens. No matter how people feel before I give them bad news, afterward they always feel worse. If I don't recognize this as normal, that working hard to make people feel good about bad news is not only counterproductive to the grieving process but potentially deleterious for our doctor-patient relationship, in the long run I'll add to my patients' pain rather than diminish it.
When is medicals fake the last time that you heard any...good news? When is the last time that you heard of a good deed being done for someone else? A heartfelt story that left you welling up a bit, on hearing a great human-interest story that had a live happily they're after ending? It's enjoyable to share good news with others.
When you or your business "dies" for others, you generate long lasting benefits. This is medicals bad and fake not physical death. It is professional or corporate sacrifices for the good of the market.
This is the mindset... the paradigm. There's no need to "do" anything until there are test results that directly connect to a specific classification of drugs we can use to change the test result. These isolated tests are next-to-never combined to give a picture representative of overall physiological function... or health. They're simply snippets of a system here, an organ there... scattered bits of information.
Solve a Problem. Free yourself from a nagging problem. In the Health and Fitness industry, we are in the business of helping clients to solve problems. We may not be mortgage brokers or bankers, career counselors or investment advisers, but we are in the business of helping others to achieve goals. Regularly, I hear from clients who have been suffering from an old injury or weakness and when combined with the rising stresses of daily life, the pain and discomfort are more than they can manage. If this describes you, are you finally willing to get some help? Some problems can be solved with bodywork, some with chiropractic or physical therapy and some require a more serious medical consult but make a commitment and get to the bottom of the issue - starting today.
A last practical suggestion: If you have access to one, bring a portable game device (even a phone) or DVD player. Studies show that children who are engaged in watching something they enjoy perceive half the pain or less during a medical procedure than children who are paying attention to the procedure. Even a beloved book may work to take their mind off the vaccines.
